The Apple iPad was a let down to some when Apple debuted it back in January, one main upset was the lack of a camera. A forward facing camera seemed to make sense, it would allow users to video conference with others online or take pictures of themselves without have to stand in front of the bathroom mirror. Apple didn’t see it that way however, instead they are offering an iPad Camera Connection Kit which is available for pre-order today directly from Apple. The pricey accessory includes two separate 30-pin connectors, one includes an SD card slot and the other a USB port to attach your digital cameras.
Apple claims the iPad will automatically open the Photo app once a camera or SD card is connected, which will make it easy to import and organize your images. Apple says the iPad will be able to support most standard image formats, such as JPEG and RAW. The Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit is due to ship out in April.
